Happy Earth Day!

Today is April 22nd, and the 52nd marking of Earth Day; a day dedicated to the importance of protecting the environment. Earth Day was first proposed in 1970 by peace activist John McConnell, later turning into a large-scale environmental teach-in, and one of the largest single day protests in human history. 

This Earth Day, we acknowledge the industry we find ourselves in is one that has both played a part in perpetuating climate change and absorbing the harm of it. We recognise that corporations must lead by example- and whilst there is no overnight cure, there are certainly ways we can try and lessen the damage. As a company, we’re proud to prioritize a sustainable approach in our procedures.

That’s why we’re proud to announce Emplifi has partnered with Just One Tree, to plant an additional 3,000 trees in the #EmplifiForest. Previously, Emplifi pledged 7,200 trees that have absorbed 2,247.78 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. We’re proud to be a part of a company that plays its part in building a greener and more sustainable future. 

Equally, Go Instore, an Emplifi company is proud to acknowledge the way our technology aids the retail industry in becoming more sustainable.

Who Are We?

Just in case you aren’t familiar with us by now, we’ll give a brief introduction! Go Instore connects consumers to product-matched, in-store specialists for an immersive shopping experience that they don’t have to leave the sofa for. Our in-store specialists can demonstrate products in one-to-one scenarios, or connect with consumers through livestreams in one-to-many scenarios. 

How can live shopping help consumers become more sustainable? 

Well, one example is lessening the amount of carbon emissions from transport (such as cars) that customers utilize to shop in-store. Consumers often travel considerable distances just to go shopping, or choose to drive in situations where the destination is within walking distance. Live Video Shopping helps to reduce the consumers carbon footprint, as well as saving them valuable shopping time (when considering the door-to-door journey!). 

Equally, Go Instore helps lessen the environmental cost of over-purchasing. A massive 30% of customers are guilty of this; deliberating buying more items than needed only to return them the following day. We work with teams of in-store experts to give customers all of the necessary information, as well as visual product demonstrations. This reduces  the customers’ need to over-order and the overall cost of returning unwanted products.  

We’re also proud to work with some of the leading brands at the forefront of the sustainability agenda. One example is our partnership with Natural Baby Shower, the leading eco-friendly and ethical baby brand retailer.
